Car history: |
2) This is a car I bought from a lady who purchased this car around June of 1974 with 13,000 miles on it at the time. I was told by the person who brokered the car to me, she was in school studying for her future profession. Upon Graduation and getting a good job in her profession she bought a new more economic car but kept the vette. Sometime in 1988 she had her Father take the car and put it up in a barn on his farm where it was placed on a wooden floor and stored properly. At sometime around 2014 or so her husband got sick and she finally decided sell the vette to raise cash. I bought the vette just as they pulled it out of the barn. I did not want anyone trying to start it as damage may result. I had the car shipped to Ga. where we spent a few days cleaning, documenting and finally flushing engine, transmission and radiator. We did every thing proper and by the end of the day we had started it, test driven it and let it run for another 30 minutes or so and then re drained every thing and did it all over again including filters. This car still retains its original paint, interior, engine and trans, and tank sticker is still in place on top of tank. We did put in new carpet ad the drivers side had a hole in it. I think from high heels. The body has some bruises in the front but absolutely nothing serious if you decide to repair it. I started to touch up some places and had a quart of lacquer specially mixed but decided against it as it is still a very presentable original paint car. This car absolutely drives as new. It is really tight. NCRS would really like to see and judge this car based on its total originality. I am selling this car due to health reasons only. I DO NOT need the money but rather to relieve my Family of a possible burden. BiN $33,000 but ended $18,100 (RnM) on August 17, 2016. 1) BIG BLOCK 454 #'S MATCHING ENG. BARN FIND PARKED IN 1988. I'M LISTING THIS FOR MY BROTHER WICH PURCHASED IT FROM HIS FRIENDS SISTER WHO BOUGHT THE CAR IN 1974 WITH ONLY 13K MILES ON IT. SHE PARKED IT IN THE BARN IN 1988 AND IT HAS NOT BEEN STARTED OR DRIVEN SINCE. THE ENGINE DOES TURN BUT WE DIDNT START IT, JUST SELLING IT AS IS. THE BODY HAS A COUPLE FLAWS, REPAIR AROUND THE DOOR LOCK AND CRACK IN RT FRONT FENDER (SEE PICS). THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR LOOKS VERY SOLID FOR SITTING THIS LONG. 72,418 miles from the odometer. September 16, 2015. |
